Known issues

  • The editor has desktop menus and shortcuts, so it works best in a desktop browser. On a phone it is not usable.
  • There is no autosave. Save and Export download a file to your device, so save before you close the tab.
  • Very large files depend on your device memory and may be slow or fail to open.
  • The editor asks for a font list file that does not exist and gets a 404. It is optional and harmless.

When to keep the original software

Keep using the desktop software for print production with plug-ins, exact color management, or files that rely on features this editor does not model, such as some smart objects and layer styles.

FAQ

Can it open a .psd with layers?
The editor lists PSD and PSB support, including layers. We have not published an open test for .psd files yet, so check the result with your own file before relying on it.
Does it replace the desktop app?
For many everyday edits it can. For plug-ins or print color workflows, keep using the desktop app.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The editor runs in your browser and the file stays on your device.
Why does the first start take a while?
The editor is a single download of about 10 MB (compressed). Your browser keeps it, so later visits start faster.
